Looking for a nice clean original oval style disc brake master cylinder for a 70 GS. This style has the double bail on it. I am looking for a low rust rebuildable unit. It should have two bleed valves on the side. Not interested in Chinese reproduction.

...where in the world are you going to get a low mile working 70 master cylinder? i mean really...

id get a correct core and send it to Whitepost resto they are perfect...if you found one that works, could you trust your life with it?

John, Thanks. Let me know what you have.....Mark. I did not say anything about low mileage. I said I was looking for low rust rebuildable unit. I also was planning on using White post. I actually would trust my ass to an original before one made by someone who might have been pulling the rickshaw a couple of years ago.

,i guess my idea of a clean one means a bolt on, i can help..is it a 309 master? you know theres a code stamped on them that can be seen on the car?i have one off a chevelle, a monte carlo, and gto, they all have codes...

I believe diff part #. In fact the corvette ppl are getting the codes even engraved on their models. The camaro uses the same 309. Easy to find, repo that is.
No idea who white is, but apple hydraulics in NY did a wonderful job rebuilding my original.

Right, both a 69 GTO + 442 are stamped EA on the pad, I've seen US on others (not GTO or 442). I'm pretty sure a 'vette cylinder has different casting numbers on it. White Post Restorations has a good name, they do masters, wheel cylinders, clutch slave cylinders, etc. They sleeve them, never had any work done there, but heard good things!

I think I have a rebuilt EA master at home, actually...think I have a couple of them! Let me know if you can't find one, I can't check til next Mon.

Frank, I would be interested as I can pick it up. I can check assembly manual later as codes are often in them.
