1970 Riviera Sweep Spear. How much should I expect to pay? Hello, I'm looking to pick up the sweep spear from a 1970 Buick Riviera. *Edit* Well that was incredibly quick. I've been offered the parts! :beer Problem is, neither one of us has any idea what these would be worth. So we decided to leave it up to you guys on the board. The trim pieces are in great shape and are a complete set. What would be a good price? Thanks for any advice or suggestions! :TU:
'70 Sweep Spear Set The last complete set of these I saw was on evilBay, and I think they went for almost $200, Condition has some bearing on the value - so I suggest you do an evilBay search and track what these pieces went for. :beer :TU:
Thanks for the price estimate Randy. :TU: Yes. It's kind of hard to tell from that photo, it's a stainless steel body side molding. I believe 1970 Riviera's were the only year this was an option on.
I have a set of moldings BUT two pieces have broken ends. If you want these for a street rod the set will do, for a restoration questionable. These pieces are a cast metal, not stainless, and the 70 Riv was the only year used . Jim Schilf palbuick
Frank - I have an entire '70 Riv GS that I'll be parting out. It has the side moldings you need and if I remember correctly, they're in very nice shape. The car is also loaded with options; 3.42 posi, cruise, console/floor shift, tilt column, power trunk, power windows, etc. It has a nice front bumper and grill and came with an extra rear bumper and deck lid that are in nice condition. I can't get the picture upload feature to work, but I can email pics if you're interested. Donny
