I'd like to purchase a 1970 (or '71-72 if they are visibly the same?) Skylark AM/FM radio. Thank you. -mike
Mike, I have a few AM/FM's and I even have a complete factory 8 track player with factory harness if you desire. Wheelz, Tampa Bay
I'm impressed that you have been able to find so many AM/FM radios. I actually have a factory 8 track player, which I'll sell to finance this purchase. How much would you like for your best functional 1970 AM/FM? Of course I'm prepared to pull the dial cover and detail it, etc.
Mike... a few years back I hooked up a battery, an old speaker, didnt have an antenna but still, received some signal on the AM dial... I know these radio's were semi-tested and show signs of working, but JUST HOW GOOD?? No promises. $285 plus about $40 shipping to Colorado. BTW, Do you know Mike Verba???
Yes, I know Mike Verba well!! I've not see him or Sue in a few years, not since the Rocky Mountain GS Club was in full swing. $285 + $40 sounds fair. I'll drop a check in the mail tomorrow, Monday, to: Dennis Wheller 12757 Poinsettia Ave Seminole, FL 33776. Please feel free to hold on to the goods until the check clears. Also, you can include the dash plaque that I just bought from you in the same shipment, if that helps cut down on your trips to the Post Office! Thank you again for getting back to me so quickly. I just about have the dash together on this basket-case restoration that I've undertaken. -mike
please correct my last name: dennis WHEELER.. Also, my bro in law & Fam lives in Lakewood, Green Mountain area. We visit them often. Kenny Nissen makes his way over and visits us when we are out there too. I've met the Verbas on a few occasions over the years and always had a nice time. Havent talked to either Mike or Sue in many years tho. When your check arrives, I will ship your radidio and dash plaque and tracking will follow. Wheelz, Tampa Bay
Hi Dennis, I received your radio, but unfortunately I'm going to have to return it as it is much too weathered for my application. I trust that you're OK with that?
well not really Mike. You said "Of course I'm prepared to pull the dial cover and detail it, etc." while it was the best radio I had, this radio is still 47 years old and NOT a show car radio. I am disappointed you even have to ask. Im not sure what to do. The money is gone. Wheelz, Tampa Bay
I opened the package immediately, and notified you immediately that the radio won't do. How am I being unreasonable here?
Mike, You saw the pix I sent, you bought and received the 47 year old UNrestored radio that YOU said you would detail. The radio you bought is not so bad you could not detail and make it nice. You knew $285 is a very reasonable price for a decent AM/FM radio. Only thing I can suggest is, perhaps you could sell it along with your 8 track player as a 'unit'. Maybe even get more than you expect. Again Mike, I am very sorry that you are disappointed. Wheelz, Tampa Bay
You don't stand behind the parts that you sell? I'm not just a mad customer, I'm a very mad customer.
