I have decided to sell my Buick as my daughter heads off to college this Fall, and I need to help her with the expenses. This car has been through a restoration, by me, that took over 5 years. During that time, I took pictures of all the procedures, and I also have the receipts from the many purchases made during this time. Any and all questions will be answered if you are interested. 1970 Skylark Custom Convertible 444670H303414 Dark Saddle interior Black convertible top Forest Green Metallic paint ( used on GM products in early to mid 1990's) Code 63 Desert Gold-original paint color 04E-date code- 4/29 or 4/30, 1970, in Flint, MI Options 4-way power seats power windows AC with tinted glass 15 X 7 wheels dual exhausts power steering power disc brakes #'s matching TH-350 transmission ( 444670H303414) split bench front seat The engine is a 1973 455 I installed after the original engine, a 350 4V, 315 HP, was ruined by the previous owner. This engine has only 400 miles since it's rebuild ( as does the transmission) and is equipped as follows: 10 to 1 TRW forged pistons port matched intake to heads Edelbrock Performer intake manifold with 750 Carb Pertronix Ignitor ignition module inside stock distributor TA Performance cam: 288-94H Hughes 2500 RPM stall converter I found the "build" sheet ( under the rear seat) and production body final sheet ( on top of gas tank) and I have them laminated. I am asking 11,900 for this car. Included in this price are my array of spare parts specific for this Skylark. Any questions or additional photos can be asked for and I will gladly offer them My Daytime phone # is: (770) 456-9204 I'll offer the car on this site for one week before I post it on Craig's List at a slightly higher price. I really want a knowledgeable Buick lover to get this car as it has been carefully and thoroughly restored via hundreds, maybe thousands, of hours of work in my garage. Also included is the Dark Saddle Top Boot ( not shown) and the car cover.
No rust at all...When I took the car apart there was the typical quarter sized holes at the very bottom of the front fenders, hidden by the trim...That was fixed correctly. I have about 10 pictures to post but they didn't attach to the thread...Any suggestions here?
Sounds like your photos are too big. If you cannot resize them you can email them to me and I can resize them and post them here for you.
Thanks! I just fixed the problem and posted some good pics of the car. I also added the fact the matching top boot and car cover will be included. Russell :3gears:
I have been working with a local buyer for about 2 weeks now as we try to finalize the deal. It should be sold tomorrow morning. After it does I'll post an ad on the Parts for Sale forum. I have some good parts for a 1970 GS/Skylark that need a good home. Russell :3gears:
I have lowered the price a bit and the potential buyer still couldn't pull the trigger.....So I told him I was moving on.... I had lowered the price a bit to 9500.00, with a little room for negotiation as there are a couple a items I would address on it. That being said, I think it is a great deal for someone who knows ANYTHING about the car at all.... So it is back up for sale. Russell russellawaters@rocketmail.com
