Selling my 1970 buick SKYLARK CUSTOM, GS clone Convertible. this is the same ad i put on craigslist, but i figured you guys would appreciate it more. what its got: 350 4bbl engine. new waterpump, new alternator, new fan clutch and fan. brand new aluminum radiator(very nice), th-350 trans, rebuilt less than 100 miles ago. but for some reason stop going into drive range. reverse works. ( this is why im selling) 4wheel drum manual brakes deluxe vinyl interior the good: engine runs like a top starts up first time almost every time with no knocking or any bad signs that i have noticed besides leaking a very small amout of oil from oil pan gasket new rear shocks new door hinges rag top in very good condition new weatherstrip kit not install but will come with the car. electronics work pretty much 100% including the top new fuel gauge sender the bad: tranny was rebuilt less than 100 miles ago but on last test drive decided it doesnt want to go into any of the drive gears, revearse still works. (this is the only reason im selling the car) passenger side rear brake is partially siezed will still roll but i wouldnt suggest driveing until that is repaired. parking brake is missing the intermediate cable so it is non functional. the rear bumber is for a 1972 not a 1970 and the taillights are cracked. inteirior is ok except for the front bench and door panels. which are fairly chewed up. left tail pipe rotted off i have it if you want it. the passenger door is bent at the leading edge from a botched hinge change incident and catches on the fender but could be pounded back fairly easily the ugly; frame and floor panels are pretty shot rust-wise. fenders are not bad but will need some TLC, it looks like the previous owner tried to hide alot with bondo not too much though. trunk floor was completely rotted out so previous owner replaced it with fiberglass. i had reinforcements put on the frame when i lived in hawaii but i t will need more work possibly a frame swap if you are feeling rambunctious. she would make a good project or a great parts car. let me know if you are interested. im asking 5000 obo, i would take trades for another muscle car, or a motorcycle. let me know what you got.
