1970 Skylark Rocker Moldings

    I don't recall seeing this before, but how do the rocker round clips screw to the body and I recall the fender has a metal strip.

    Are there threaded filler inserts for the holes in the body and fender to screw the round rocker mounting clips to?

    Mark, rockers just have holes dilled and the discs use small sheetmetal screws for attachment. I think Mike Garrison makes the discs and strip.

    The holes in my 70 are 3/8"...perhaps it came with spear type and they used clips?

    Yea used clips that slid into the moulding I should have a good many if you need any ,that is if your puting the spear back on

    thanks I'll get screw plugs for it so I can use the wide style

    Cant use them holes to mount the disc, they are higher up than where the holes need to be for the wide rocker moulding

    Thanks. Ill plug them and drill new for the clips...Ill need measurements ...

    I have a 72 GS in my driveway with the rocker moldings off. I'll try and get some measurements off it for you tomorrow

    The large round hole in the fender is not used on the GS. You can see the small hole to the bottom left of the large hole for the strip. I have attached a few pictures showing the strip and one disc. The discs run the rest of the way down the car. I hope this helps.<o:p></o:p>
