Cool car but where is the documentation or at least the mention of it?

    What happened to the carb?

Look like someone colored in the emblems with a brush.

Blue line tires need to go.

I have a set of those hubcaps I will send someone for the cost of shipping.

Yes --it could be the stuff that is supposed to wash off. If you were selling this car, would you put on those tires and hubcaps?

26k supposed miles and the correct air cleaner is AWOL. I still like the car.

I also wonder aboout the seats needing repair on a 26k car. My X has 43k and the seats are fine.

    Here is the quote:

"It has only 26,138 miles on the odometer."

Odometer numbers are straight across (good) bluing on double pin stripe white walls (new) stage one emblem bent (bad) and duct tape on the air heater on the incorrect air cleaner? no comment. Still seems pretty high for a base model. ws

I can get those numbers pretty straight when I roll an odometer back :p

This car ran on eBay once or twice, and was also at Hershey last fall IIRC, advertised as26k original miles.

I would deduct 10K, just for buying it from someone too lazy to clean the protective blue coating off the dual whitewall tires.

I have thrown a few sets of those hubcaps out. Those dual whitewalls and Chrome Road wheels, or Super Sport wheels might not be too bad looking.

I would question 26K miles, but it could be true, if it sat outside for a long time.

I'll take them. We had them on our Skylark back in '73 when we lived in San Antonio.

Maybe (hopefully) they are still finishing the car, but had to submit photos now for the Sept. Auction, and when it gets there it will look dramatically better.

  17. given the current status of the car ( repainted, ram air cleaner, etc etc) does a claimed 26k mileage really make a difference for selling price ? evidently it was a rough 26k
