Post a pic of the cowl tag and we can help you out. Is the speedometer for an auto car? If it is, chances are you answered your question. Do the numbers just forward of the 4 speed tailshaft on the passenger side match the car?

If there is no "H" in the VIN it is not a Stage 1 since all Stage 1 cars came from Flint. If there is an "H" then it might be a Stage 1.
I agree DL.,Desert gold is a very nice color. Pontiac called the same color Palomino Copper,which is a better name as it is a copperish colored Gold.
