Here's the car: http://www.barrett-jackson.com/application/onlinesubmission/lotdetails.aspx?ln=1576&aid=443&pop=0 And a thread that discusses how they really want you to think it's a genuine Stage 1 without directly claiming it is: http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?241713-GS-s-in-Barrett-Jackson-Scottsdale-Auction
MMMM, I figure a stealer would know what wood stickers look like and the difference between alloy and steel wheels are. or what an AM radio looks like. oh wait it like it has an FM converter, so it has one of the ultra rare two piece AM/FM radios. I bet none of the people who work there where even alive when this car was made. one of us needs to go down to that dealer with appropriate documentation and show them what is wrong with the picture. Go in looking for the Stage 1 car and tell them they are doing the old bait and switch game as it is not a stage car. LOL I just wish I was closer I would. I just love screwing with car vultures. Tim
http://www.chuckolsonkia.com/seattl...H118843/~/VehicleType_~Price1_~Make_~Model_/5 I've seen rally wheels described as "alloy" in ads for other Buicks, but I never saw the woodgrain called real wood before. Also, where's the rear spoiler it's supposed to have? And what's leather on that car? And finally, have they noticed that the horn button's missing? For $75,000, I want a horn button, dammit!
Here it is in BJ's 2010 sale http://www.barrett-jackson.com/application/onlinesubmission/lotdetails.aspx?ln=379.1&aid=323&pop=0 The owner/restorer knew it was not a stage1 car but had passed away and his collection was liquidated.
