Looking for the correct carb for my 1970 Stage 1 GSX, #7040246 If you have one or know of one, please contact me. Thanks, Tom
I bought the car knowing it had the wrong carb., 7040240, Would like to have the correct carb for the car
Tom welcome to the board We're are ya located Congrats on your car We're did you get it Would you share some pics and info Thanks from sunny so cal...
I have a probably restamped carb at a very reasonable price in the parts for sale here. That's only if you don't want to spend $1600.00 plus!
Thanks, I've always wanted a GSX since I saw one at my local dealer in 1970. The car is in the Charlotte NC area. I purchased it from a classic car broker in Charlotte. According to Wayne Rogers, The car is 1 of 9 ordered as a Radio Delete, number 266 in the run The only picture I have at this time are the ones the broker took: Again, thanks, glad to be part of the fraternity.
Thanks, I found your pictures in your post. I would prefer to find a 0246 that has the correct center section.
Wow, congratulations and welcome! Beautiful car. Love the no radio option. Have wondered if any GSX's were ordered that way. Would love to see the whole Wayne Roberts report if you'd be inclined to post it.
I have a near NOS one but it is a service replacement one in the box produced in 1972. Also have a very nice original 71 Stage 1 carb.
Awesome! Thanks for posting. So only options are Stage 1, Auto, PS, & tinted windshield. Kind of an unusually optioned one - I like it. Very nice.
The car is a 3:64 gear, verified by the letters "ON" on the drivers side axle tube. According to Wayne, it is the presentation of his report. The Stage1 option automatically gave you the 3:64 gear on non air cars. The report only shows the Stage1 option not the specifics of the option.
