I have my fiberglass hood painted and did not drill the holes in the hood for the front trim :Dou: . I need to borrow (or if cheap buy) a 1970 to 1972 Skylark hood to get locations for the holes to mount this trim.

    Any one in my area?

The holes are actually ovals so you can use a round file to make them oval. Just place the trim on the hood lip edge and then have an assistant circle each stud with a Sharpie marker. Should not take but 5-10 mins to mark all holes.

I am just afrade that I will get it to high or low. Going by the pictures I have seen, there is only one row of holes. Does the spikes under the studs on the trim lay on the edge?

While I'm at it. How Much does it generally cost to have one replated. It is in pretty good condition.

Who knows of a good shop?

I believe the holes are centered on the leading edge.

AIH Chrome in IA will do that item. They do all my pot metal work.
Visit www.buickperformance.com/vendors.htm for their contact info.

Expect to pay $100-150 depending on condition.

Your right, it is a long trip. I have found some pictures and gotten some advice. After all it is fiberglass, I can easily fix any slip ups.

    Thanks anyway................
