Hello Bruno, I thought to PM you and ask before starting this thread as I figured if anyone had it, you did. PM me with the necessary details.MO
I am still looking for circa 1970 Group 7.068 - 981632 Trailer Hitch accessory. 1970 Skylark /GS , Thanks.
We have several we've removed from A-Body 70-72 Buicks, if you have a picture of what you need I can compare to what I have.
Mark, The '70 set up same as the '71 version? Mine had one at some time in it's life. When I bought the car all that remained was a 5/8" in the middle of the bumper. Mine had also a few stress cracks around the hole. ---------- Post added at 08:36 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:36 PM ---------- Mark, The '70 set up same as the '71 version? I had a hitch on the 1970 4 door. SHould have kept it. Looking closer, it was slide hitch / recevier so likely not 70 vintage. I have a nice one piece hitch setup from a 71 from this forum but it wont work as it uses the bolt hole in the 71 bumper not present on 70. ---------- Post added at 06:58 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:37 PM ---------- Are they factory set ups?
Are they factory set ups?
I don't know, may be. One attaches to the frame and the rear bumper. The other attaches to the trunk floor and rear bumper. My Stage 1 had a hitch installed early on, maybe by the dealer? But looking at the holes it's different than either of the ones I have. Back then there were many different, but simular types.
Are they year specific? Or are they just different manufactures design differences? I wonder if I could get one to fit my 68? I'm not against drilling the bumper if needed. If any are left over after Mark is helped, I would be interested in left-overs. I still need to check a local parts guy as i think he gad one bolted to the back of a chevelle.
