Selling a 1971 GS 350 4BBL engine complete minus starter, alternator and power steering. It has the pulleys on it and includes the distrib. It was a pretty decent running engine when pulled two years ago. It was pulled to install a built up 455 engine. It was wrapped in plastic and stored on the 2nd level of a heated commercial building. I will take $300 for the engine with the stock quadrajet carb or $250 without it(price reduced to $200 without carb, $250 with carb). Not sure if I am willing at the present time to ship it. It is mounted to a wooden pallet. Pics on request and email address.
Lee, The engine was from a 1971 GS and the mileage is suppose to be about 90,000. I don't know if it was ever rebuilt.
Carl, Put me in line! I am about 90 minutes from you & the motor. Is it locked up or does it "turn"? Regards, Upstaged in SW Michigan.
Here are some pics. Engine is dirty but was a decent running engine when pulled. I have a starter I can include with engine.
Carl how long is the drive to St Louis? I am trying to decide if I want to go BBB in the sportwagon or just stay SBB. Have you ever pulled the pan? Good oil pressure? I have a rebuilder but might be interested in a drop in long block.
John, All I know is that the engine seemed to be a good running engine with no outstanding noises. I have not taken off the pan. I think $200 for a complete engine without the carb is a pretty good deal. The drive is about 8 1/2 hrs to Novi, Mi.
If you end up just wanting to get rid of it for the cost of shipping, put me first in line. I would love to have it, but right now I just dont have much extra money. Good luck in your sale.
having truck problems this week I'll be getting in touch after I find out what is wrong with the dually.
Found a bad battery cable ford wants 240.00+ tax:shock: I got it cleaned and back working but the end is in terrible shape. It was hidden under the air intake. Anyway would you be willing to meet somewhere around Chicago for some more $$ thats 5 to 6 hours for me.
John, Even if I could do that, how would you get the engine off the bed of my truck? How about I Pm you and we can talk on the phone?
