    Hey guys,

I'm being offered a 71 Buick GS 455 in trade and I'm trying to gauge the value. The car is a numbers matching, original car with original paint, rust free with an automatic transmission. It has aftermarket wheels, but he also has the original wheels in good shape as well. I've attached a couple pictures. I tried to do some research to gauge value, but there aren't too many of these for sale. I appreciate anyone's thoughts on value.

    Thanks

Post some more pictures & details on how it is optioned.

What are your plans for the car if you acquire it? Keep or flip?

I know it's all original, numbers matching and I know that it doesn't have A/C. Those are the basic details that I have right now. If I take the trade, then I will flip the car most likely.

Im going to shoot from the hip based on the extremely limited information. I'd say 18,500 to 22,500 thereabouts

Do you find that these cars are easy to sell/in demand? The car I would be trading away is a '65 Chevelle SS that's valued around 25K.

The Chevelle would sell faster and for more $$,...more than likely. The cars advertised here in that price range more often than not don't move

It's relatively easy to determine the value of the car with the following information:
    VIN
    cowl tag
series of pictures that cover the car completely. They need to show the Vin number on each of the "number matching" parts.

An appraisal by a certified appraiser is another option. If, the car is as described, and there is a approximate value to be assigned I'd suspect it would be in the afore mentioned $18-22K range. The Hagerty price guide would be another resource as well.
