1971 Buick GS Stage 1 Convertible

    A "V" was only an indicator for 1972. Documenting an original 1971 Stage 1 car would require original paperwork (POP, build sheet, window sticker) and a good look at all the stampings.

    Why would the VIN have a "V"? Only '72 Stage 1's have a "V" for Stage 1"s.

    No V in VIN because it is a 1971.

    5th digit designating engine code in VIN did not start until 1972.

    Super cool rarely seen color combo, looks great.

    A 71 with build sheet or original invoice is golden....no mention of paperwork but it is nice....
