1971 Buick Riviera - not mine

    There's been this Riv that I have spotted for close to a year as I take my kids to and from work daily. The thing hasn't moved and now it has a for sale sign on it. Let me know if you want me to take a look at it as it might be fun to drive...:laugh:

    1971 Buick Riviera - $8500 (Plantation)

    1971 Buick Riviera $8500 OBO
    Starts and runs strong. Can spin tires easily if you push it.
    Moved out of State before I completed restoration. Car is at my parents house.
    Rebuilt engine from the crank up. Has less than 100 miles on it. Tons of New parts.
    TA performance SP1 Aluminum Intake
    455 Bored over .030. Now 462
    New Parts
    4 Core Aluminum radiator
    TA performance SP1 Aluminum Intake
    Edelbrock 800 CFM Carburetor
    TA Performance Camshaft
    New hydraulic Lifters
    10:1 Compression Forged Pistons (True compression is probably about 9.5:1, engine still has stock heads)
    Piston Rings
    New Front and rear seals(Not the rope kind, the good ones)
    Main Bearings, Rod Bearings,
    Full length Hooker Competition headers.
    New Exhaust (Dual with mufflers resonators and tips)
    Oil pump gears and plate from TA Performance (Yes it was primed with Vaseline)
    Optima Battery (The one that looks like a six pack)
    Temperature and oil Pressure Gauge. ( I don't trust dummy lights)
    More parts than I can list

    Extra Parts:
    Original Intake
    Original Cam

    Needs:
    Some Body work
    Headliner
    Speakers
    Rear brakes
    Gas tank has a slow leak
    Got tires with car so can't say how old they are.

    With a little more work and an electronic ignition this car be a luxury cruiser or a beast!

    ...ummm...8500$

    seems high
