If anyone is interested in this car at this price, now is the time to act. Soon I will put the car in the body shop and fix the few rust spots--then the price will be higher next spring when car fever hits.
I was ready to jump on plane, until you mentined some minor rust issues.. Why dont you get the fenders, quarters, window fixed? I have bought two cars, with minor rust issues, and ending up having to completely disemble the cars, and do complete paint.. can be done , but loses a whole season of driving.. Beautifull car s/b 25 thou good luck 427stratochief
First $13,995 takes car. Does this car have some spots that need some attention? Yes. Does this car have "major" rust? Absolutely not!! This car is a very solid, original car with a few spots that need some repair. If we make the needed repairs ourselves we wont make any more money on the car because the repair costs will just be added into the price of the car. We are in fact losing a large chunk of money for what we bought the car for in the same exact condition! Can an absolutely rust-free, '71 factory-optioned fire-red 455 4 spd GS be found for $13,995? Um no. If this was rust-free we would be asking 18-20k+ and not $13,995. To the right person, this car is a deal. We have several other projects we are working on and something has to go! We will consider any reasonable offer. Thanks guys!
Best to buy at cheaper price and see what you are buying instead of buying after rust repair.Nice looking GS.Get an appraisel if you're not sure. Good luck.
To GSXER.... Most of us "cheapskates" don't have 15 cars listed . If you like it , buy it . If not read it , look at the pics , and decide if you want it or not . But I really don't think it's your place to make fun of people who can only afford a car or two . Anyway , I'm giving it a bump. Wish I could swing it , but I'm one of the "cheapskates" . :beers2: :TU:
probably because most of us that have been dealing with these cars for any length of time know that rust is always twice as bad as it appears in the pictures. if it were such a good deal and easy fix then it would have been gone long before this. the V8board isnt the only place this car has been listed. I have come across it in other online sites
