Here is my 71 skylark, it's nothing special. Just has a 350 and automatic but it does have bucket seats. I started to redo to interior a few years back but then the car just sat there because I had many other projects. Now i'm back on the buick and doing all the body work/paint job. I'm in a collision repair class at my high school and doing all the work there. here is what I started with, it looked pretty good and i thought I knew what I was getting into. I started on the passenger side of the car cause it had to most damage. It looked like someone had maybe ran into some stuff pulling into a garage because there was a small crease from the middle of the door up to the front fender. I don't know if you can tell in the picture or not but the rear quarter had been smashed in and had about 1-2 inches of body filler covering it up. So now i'm looking for new quarters and need some suggestions as to which ones to get, any suggestions/info would be helpful.
Looks like a really good start. First time I've seen a pin-stripe on one of these cars, like it. Go to the "Parts Wanted " forum. Post what you need & in what condition. You should be able to find most of what you'll need.
Hey thanks for the advice, I'll check that out right now. I think the pin stripe looks good on the car also and i'll probably try to put one back on after it's painted.
