1971 steering wheels

Hello all,

What were the different steering wheels available on a 71 GS? I know what the optional three spoke sport wheel looks like, but what else was available that year.

The deluxe wheel is the rectangular pad wheel, and the standard is the two-pronged all plastic wheel with the arms at 8 and 4.

Do you need pics?

I think I know what the standard all plastic one looks like. Is kind of plain with a silver center about 2-3" in diameter? I have no idea what the deluxe wheel should look like.

I knew Mopar had rim blows but I didn't know Buick had them. Do you have pics of one?

I have seen a rim blow before and the deluxe is the same as the 69-70 wheel. The rim blow is similar in appearance to the 72 wheel with the two horn buttons.

You forgot the sport steering wheel picture.

 

Is the sport wheel a fourth wheel or the 3 spoke wheel we all (including, apparently, Brandon) know?

 

Yes it is the three spoke. Just noticed picture missing. Was smaller in diameter than 70 wheel however.

Isn't the rectangular pad wheel 69-70, and 71-72 the padded one that is shaped like the rim blow with the two small horn buttons?
