If I had room for another Buick it would probably be a Riv similar to that one. Love all the early Rivs.

 

W = HP option. I do not think it also means GS option. What do you say?

 

That's not a Buick air cleaner and the only Buick that had the B4B from the factory
was the white 70 GSX Stage 2 car .

I believe the 'W' option Hi-performance 455 included the larger valve heads, a lightly hotter cam (not the Stage 1 cam) and dual exhaust.

 

You are correct Jim. "W" did not stand for GS option. We know it's not a Stage 1 only 73 and 74 Riv's had that option and without paper work he can't prove the GS option either.

 

I emailed the seller and asked for any original documentation, wouldn't hold my breath. Tom
