One of 77 factory 455 4 speed V Code Hard top cars with documentation As Is with tri carb and extra parts $35000
So not disrespecting at all. Nice car. Interior pictures? I have always wondered where Oldsmobile fans get their production figures. I talked to the Oldsmobile museum people many years ago and was told everything was lost in a flood. Just curious where you got your facts that's all. I would love to know.
How do you know that? Where is that info from? Trust me I am an old old Olds fan. I would love to know where this info is from and verified.
Helen Earley at GM Copy of the letter she did send to Greg Mross Long time ago LEGIT is available check out v code 1972 oldsmobile and i will talk to you later
That would be very cool. I spoke with Helen many times myself before her passing. So you have a letter from her saying that about your car? I would love to see it. That would be very cool to see. So a "V" code 455 Cutlass Supreme is not an SX? Does someone have all these production figures / information somewhere that Oldsmobile people can speak to? I love factual information. That would be awesome to know this information is available. Thanks for any info.
Hey If they ever made an SX manual transmission car This is the answer in 1972 they did build 77 cars Mine was special ordered and I have a copy of the window sticker substantial reduction in price if I keep tripower and axle from my car
So where can we Oldsmobile fans get these facts from? I am not picking at you. I would love to know so many of us would. I would love to see Helen's letter. She was such a great person. So helpful.
Again so where can Oldsmobile people verify information. That is what I am asking. So is a "V" code 455 car verified in the vin or ? Not an SX then?
I am not that resource Go find yourself YES THEY NEVER MADE AN SX IN 1972 YES THEY NEVER MADE AN SX With 4 speed
Very cool car and rare, that letter is pretty neat too. Got any interior pictures ? Also what was the original color?
I can not find olds pictures when the car was freshly cleaned and detailed on the inside. SO I took a couple pictures today. Sorry if the carpet needs vacuum and dust wiped off. I took the console out and fabricated brackets to move the driver seat further back , I am 6foot3 Otherwise same as when I purchased the car in about 2007 Car was Icky Orange (flame orange) from the factory.
I did put the car in the Hurst Olds national show so I could park closer than Riff Raff Ooops I won a trophy LOL Car has shock and awe factor
Correct. They did NOT make an SX in 1972. Instead, they designated the cars with a U-code,for 455 automatic,or a V-code 455/M20 4-speed. The letter is in the VIN. Correct,77 total Cutlass Supreme V-codes produced. Terry Devilbliss started a registry about 20 years ago,and had always had at least 3 of them in his collection. He has since gathered and documented as many of the remaining V-code cars that he has found.
Hey Mister BRIAN I knew there was some one out there that new about these cars Hope you are safe and well during these strange days
This car was in a magazine. It has been slightly modified with bolt on GM parts Still has factory manual front disk brakes. Not trying to hijack your thread, but there was one of the 66 455 4-speed convertibles in my hometown up until a few years ago. Red with a black gut and top. Sweet car. As is the car you have for sale.
