Hey everyone. im 16 and i have been working on my skylark for about 15 months and i finally finished! when i get more money i am planning to put a 455 in there with differnt tranny, etc. this has been a long, expensive project but it is well worth it now that its done!!! i know its not a "true" 72 gsx clone but its what i wanted. I dont know why...but it wont let me put a picture up
My name is Tim Hertz. Im from Abilene, Kansas. It said my pics were too big and that i have to resize them but i dont know how...
Very nice Tim! Where did you get your seatcovers done? I like the GSX embroidered into the cover. I'm in a similar situation - made a GSX clone with my '71 Skylark and perhaps will be dropping in a 455 one day.
Nice car Tim. Be safe; there is a time and a place for everything and that time for "rodding" is not when you are near traffic, on a street with side-streets or driveways or revving with your buddies in thier Mustang.
Tim, Nice job. The car looks sweet. This car is your first but you'll never forget her. There's probably many more cars in your future.. So who's the neighbor with 70 Chevelle SS? Lon
Looks like my car. Very similar. I had GSX patches sewn in the headrest covers. Appears that we have similar tastes/ideas.
wow, what a transformation:TU: your only 16???:eek2: dude, you have some talent/passion for this hobby to whip that into shape in 15 months:beer
just kidding! you car's awesome! haha! congratulations! she's a beauty! job well done! :TU: oh, and be careful. haha.
Wow Tim nice ride. Take a look at our 72 "twin" to yours. This is my 16 year old's daily driver. He is also getting a 455 to build this summer.
Tim, great job, looks fantastic, for a 15 month restoration with limited funds. You have a future in this hobby :beers2: The 69 GS350 was a recent frame on restoration and the 71 GSx was done like 15 years ago. :TU:
