    i have a 72 skylark with a 70 455 pumped up to 496 with a bds 871 blower.
it's big and heavy. i expect it to be going fast at the end of the 1/4 mile.
i want to upgrade the front power drums to discs (and the rear to discs after
i change out the rear axle). any suggestions on disc conversion kits that will
stop this beast ? i prefer to keep 15" rims on the front if i can - which i know
may limit the size of the rotors i can put on it. any pointers to who makes
good / powerful whooa's will be appreciated.

I'm parting out a 1972 Skylark right now that has front disc brakes. So I have the whole setup, including the distribution block that goes down on the frame below the master cylinder.

    PM me if interested.

For aftermarket, you can't beat BAER, but you'll pay for them.

u might consider upgrading to a higher performance disk brake system all around like baer or whomever. u have a lot of momentum to stop.

May want to look here for a bit more info.....power drum to disc .... also since you will not be producing vaccuum (boost due to blower) are you going manual or are you able to use a vaccuum pump?
