I know this has been asked alot, buy I have not been able to find it out FOR SURE! I installed a 12 bolt Chevelle rear end in my Skylark, the question I have is what should the rear back spacing be for a 15x10 Centerline wheel? How much diffrence is there between a Buick 10 bolt and a Chevelle 12 bolt.
    Thanks

The rears are the same width, sooooooo with a 15x10 rim you will need 5.5" to 5.75" of backspacing, depending on the car. It seems that they weren't tooooo careful when assembling these things and there is slight variance between cars.

I personally use 5-5/8". And I did have to trim the top of my wheel well back about 3/8" to insure no rubbing issues. That's just on the top, not down the sides of the fender well area. And I have @1/4" to 3/8" on the inside.

68-72 12 bolts are the same width. 65-67 are narrower.

The mid-60's ones are 1/2" narrower on each side.
