Thought I would pass this on.

Have been looking for replacement window felt for my 1973 Gran Sport at a reasonable price.

Came across the site El Camino restores swear by.

They sell Window Felt for the 1973-1977 El Camino's. The El Camino, Chevelle, Cutlass, Century/Regal and Grand AM/LeMans all share the exact same upper door profile for 1973-1977.

Its genuine GM replacement felts, still in the GM packaging. They look great, and fit like a glove on my 1973 GS. Perfect bends and length.

If anyone has a need for this stuff, I would recommend these guys. Total price for a set of 4 felts (2 inner and 2 outer) was 145.

They are on the web at

    www.elcaminostore.com

    Hope this helps.

My pleasure. Always happy to hear about another fellow 73-77 enthusiast. We appear to be a minority within a minority.

How about the outer chrome for the 1/4 windows? The triangular windows? They have them too?

No they don't sell that stuff. Since they cater to El-Camino owners mostly, and the Elky's don't have any quarter windows, they don't have any of the "other" window stuff for our cars.

Hey, I just remembered looking at a company's website called www.thepartsplace.com. I think I saw the chrome trim you are referring to in the Cutlass/442 section.

    Question about the window felt.
? what part numbers did you buy? inner /outer
? How did you remove it . Did you have the glass out ?
I see there is small screw holding the assembly in place on another GM car with the same similar door.
thank ou in advance for the infor

Thanks for the info. I need the felts for two of my '77s.

Now if I can find the seals for the Hurst Hatch T-Tops on one my '77s, that will help keep the water out of the car when it rains

Hey - The window trim is available through Fusick Oldsmobile...it's not in the catalogue, you have to call them.
