Can anyone tell me if the short vinyl top on a '73 Gran Sport should be Levant or Elk grain material? I find references to both. Thanks, Mike

Mine is the finer grained material, which I beleive is Levant

Thanks. If that pic is of your top, it is Elk Grain. Supposedly, Levant was not used after '72, but some early cars might have received it.

Legendary had some correct vinyl top material remade.

www.SMSautofabrics.com may still have NOS material.

Thanks. I have a sample from SMS. They sent Levant pattern, but most info I've received, including he pic posted above, indicates that it should be Elk Grain starting in '73. Maybe both are "correct".

It's a '73 Electra but it should give you a bigger sample size of what was coming from the factory in '73

Thanks. That appears to be the Elk Grain I think was converted to starting in '73.
