I would bet that 85 were made due to the facts I have compiled. When I get the 73 daily car reports i'll be able to do some more sniffing into this. And Yes Carl.... rare indeed.I think there are 7 in my registry so far. Pat
I think the article that marco posted from the GS-Xtra is the most accurate guesstimate Ive seen so far. I would go with around 80. All I know is that there is one more around today because of me . The guy I bought mine from years ago was all set to part it out. My old car is currently owned by "stageone" on the board Jason
First, did the 4-speeds only come in a stage1, this is with a 455 not 350? Or could you get it with a car like mine, basic GS? Second, Jason, I got some parts from Mike "stageone", he is a very nice guy and told me he had done 3 1973 GS'!!! Great MAN, who is willing to help you out, like he is with my car. AND Third, in GSX-tra, do they have like a small article on 73s each copy. I haven't become a member yet to the GSCA, so I don't know. Thanks everyone! Anthony
This is a picture of the interior of my 22,000 mile GS 350 4 speed. Bought it for 100.00...yes, 100.00. It was sitting in a driveway for 15 years.
Jason, do you still have the car. I heard that you have OR had two 73 Gran Sports. Right? :Brow: Great Pic! Thanks!!!! Anthony
Anthony...I sold all my 73s a couple of years ago. I had a matching numbers blue Stage 1 4 speed which I originally bought for 750.00. I also had a 22k mile "Kojack brown" 350 4 speed which I bought from an estate for 100.00. Both cars had AM radios, bench seats, no A/C and factory dog dish hubcaps. Both cars had limited slip rears. The 350 car sold on Ebay for 1675.00 and went to a guy in Michigan. He had plans of restoring it. The big block car as you know now lives with Mike. The only other one I had was a 73 GS 455 automatic. It was red with a white bucket seat interior. I bought that car 20 years ago for 150.00 and raced the you know what out of it. I wound up blowing the engine and giving the car away. All I have left is happy memories!
Jason, I saw the blue stage1 4-speed under "Buick InThe Rough" on BuickPerformance.com. I'm gonna put my GS under there. It's great that you had these cars. Same thing happened to my car, but my dad never tracked the car. :af: But, the engine was knocking and when he was going up a hill, lots of steam , i guess, I wasn't born yet, came out of the engine compartment. A connecting rod went down in the oil pan, leaving a dent, etc. I don't really know how bad it is, I am goning to pull it apart this spring-summer! Jason, my GS 455 is an automatic too. Do you have anymore pictures of those cars. Espically the blue one! :Brow: Thanks Anthony
