    Baske Case???

I guess I was a bit rough on it, if was near by me I would be over there looking to snap it up. It could easily parted out, but what do you think the reserve is. I wish there was a way to put that serial number on my car, so it could be a Stage 1 too

If you buy it can you sell me the chrome valve covers :Brow:

    Can it be saved

I was a die hard 70-72 guy, but I am really starting to get a softspot for the 73 & 74's they grow on you after a while.

They ride a whole lot better too, mine rides like a caddy I love it :TU:

Car is an hour north of me

I was kinda hoping nobody else would see this thing, then I would simply just plunk a $500 bid on it at the end of the auction, head up 131 about an hour north of me, pick this up, and stick it in the barn for future project :Brow: :Do No:

    Good Plan

Almost has to be a local pick up on these things. I wonder what the reserve is on this thing?

I'm watching this one too. Sheetmetal and bumpers are tough to find. I have found fenders for mine but it was a MAJOR hunt. One sat on a shelf for 15 years and still had a inner with a good battery tray. Shipping cost more than the part and together, the good fenders cost me more than I paid for the car that I drove home!

Ya'll just go about your business and forget you saw this :Brow:

All right damn it, who's the clown bidding already with 4 day's and 19 hour's left :af: No need to turn a low dollar part's car into a high dollar something it's not :Smarty:

    No reserve

I guess $500 is the top bid, one of these went for $600 on craigslist here in minneapolis and it was a driver in pretty good shape, but it was a GS 350. I should have brought it I guess for the parts alone Eh. Sorry to let the cat out of the bag on this one, thought I was doing a favor to the board.

Moral to the story "buy local when they become available" I am starting to learn the lesson :spank:

I was being facetious. :) I didn't really see much redeeming value in this car since even the original engine is gone, but I guess I could be wrong. Maybe the BB trans, posi rear, sway bar, but it has been sitting for a looong time. I asked him a question about the interior since good white plastic pieces are hard to find. I'll let you know what he tells me.

Boy this car looks an awful lot like the one Lee Farrah once owned..It had the primer/white rear too with the exact wheels and whitewalls as well.....

John- I picked up the 73 GS 350- Big nasty has the info for his registry. As for the Stage 1, Suburban and trailer are hooked together...

    Owned, or tried to own???

You mean the guy that dedicated an entire website about being burned on a deal gone bad, or that he had placed a deposit, and then the guy skipped town with the car? I stumbled accross something about that at one time.
Maybe someone here has the link to that website, and we can compare this car to that story.

In the meantime, ya'll go about yer business

All right damn it, I mean it. Just went and looked again. Now two clown's are bidding on this PILE with 4 day's left :af: Knock it off! I mean it!

Great detective work Pat! A BIG light just went on in my head. Here is Lee Farah's website. Looks like the same car. He claims this car was stolen from him. What is the story??? :Do No:

It looks really nasty right now- elderly owner sprayed gray primer all over- has rusty 14x6 wheels with white walls.I guess if you want a "before" pic, I can shoot a few. Seems like the 73 bug has bitten- now where are my Suburban keys???( the one with a car trailer hooked to it)

    Good Score on the 73

    Mike,

I followed up on the 73 and he told me it was sold. I told him I was hoping that it went to someone who would appretiate it and maybe restore it. He said, "some guy from the buick club brought and it was in good hands".

Glad to hear you have it, It looked to me like it was a restorable vehicle. The 73's are really showing up now, what is up with that all of a sudden?

Good Luck, and can anyone do anything in the world of Buicks without us board member knowing about it?, Not :TU:
