I found this old girl resting at my friend's farm. Been parked since 1981 so it died young. Scrap is paying too much now to hang on to it, but I thought I would put it here for interest sake.
Pull that engine w/all brackets and accessories. You should also be able to sell the rims if they are not rusted....I think someone here was just looking for a set.
455 engines are getting hard to find....even if it is a core engine...it is worth $300-350. If the car has a tilt column, another good sale item. Check for a p.trunk......easy sale.
dnt for get trans cross menmber as it is for dual exhaust if it has dual humps on it. check rear end btw instead of junking her check if the demo derbie guys want it as 74-76 gm are the toughest( i really dnt like derbies but if car gonna b crushed why not.
That's where all the parts sales have to take place, anyway guys - not here...and he hasn't even said he'd part it out yet. Devon
Thanks for all your input. I'm gone for a couple of days so the car has at least that amount of reprieve, so when I get back I might list it in the parts section.
u can prob get 400$ if not more for the car if its stripped as it is a 74 gm. they are tought hows the frams and does it have a tow package list it on wecrash for free have them come pick it up
Side door mouldings (horiz rub strips) worthy of saving if the rubber insert is still inplace. Also, I spy a decent passenger side mirror: manual or remote, worhy of keeping/selling.
Well there seems to be a lot more interest in this car than I anticipated. I will be listing it in parts for sale.
I'd love to have the rims, Hell I'd pay CA$H for the whole car, would be a fun restoration project. I like it because its different.
The best before date on this car expired a couple of decades ago. It's too bad because it was a low mileage car (58,000). I remember when it was parked there 30 years ago, it was really nice.
