I dont know how to get this thing off.
I took out the 4 bolts that appeared to hold the 2 round plates together, but nothing happened. Smacked it with a hammer ........... nothing happened.
Wedged a 2x4 between the driveshaft and the frame and pryed on it ......... nothing happened.
I feel like an idiot, what am i missing ?
There is alot of rust under the car, could that be holding the plates together ?
I cant turn the flywheel because the engine is frozen so I cant pull the engine with out the trans, and i cant take the trans out untill i get the driveshaft loose. At this point i am tempted to cut the damn driveshaft in half, i wonder how much a replacement would be.
There is a small bolt that i stripped out on the backside of the 2 plates where the driveshaft connects to the rear end, is that my problem?

You need to jack up the car until the back are off the ground then place jackstands under the frame to hold it at that height. Then sack the flange with a BFH that should do it, if not try putting the floor jack under the rear dif raise and lower it a few times to take the tension off the drive shaft. Also Put the trans in netural then you can rotate the drive shaft turining the tires.

I got it off, had to heat it with a torch and pry on it a little.
    Thanx for the help.
