1975 Buick GS(X)

I'm talking with the seller and am interested in it. Is there anyone on the forum that lives in the Chicago/Downer's Grove area that's willing to take a look at the car for me?

 

To clarify: this is not my car. This is a lead from Facebook. I posted the description and photos because I know some of you probably can’t open that link. Sorry for the confusion!

 

Seller, went all out adding GS /GSX features including GTO quarter windows.

Here are some pics of my original paint 1975 Century Gran Sport to compare.

 

The 1973 Pontiac Grand Am also had the louvers on the windows. My brother had one of those cars.

 

I like the original one better. Rich, I see yours is missing the elusive stainless quarter window trim. It took me 3 years of watching eBay until a set came up under gm a body quarter glass trim, and I gladly paid up for it

 

I too am hoping to score the quarter glass trim

 

Ray, this car was advertised in CL several years ago when it had original paint/stripes and already had original Buick 350 replaced with 455.

I like this car too. Unfortunately it is the wrong time for me for something like this.

I would be willing to take a look at it Ray. I live on the north side of Chicago, Downers Grove is southwest of the city. A bit of a drive for me but not too bad.

 

Cool car, wish they included a better picture of the whole car at eye level with the top of the hood in view.

 

Appreciate that, Walter. It's a really nice car with show quality paint and near show interior. I've seen lots of pics of the outside and engine as well as the interior. Unfortunately, the drivetrain isn't what would make me happy. The blue 1975 455 is a slug, the tranny is a turbo 350, and the rear axle is a 2 series non-posi. At the seller's price it would take too much money to bring it up to what would ring my bell. The sound system is also inop.

 

This car has benefitted from my efforts in reproducing the unique one year only 1975 Gran Sport Stripes with Phoenix Graphixs.

The side louvers also remind me of the 1977 Pontiac Can-Am Lemans one year only models- a car I really like. Larry.
