Nice one!! I had one in those colors only with a full vinyl top. I still prefer '75's slightly over the '76's but, i'd love to own this one.
I have to agree with Erik, the 74 was prettier. I still wouldn't say "no" to this boat, with it's coffin-like padded interior,... it just wraps around you. Nice car, and if it's a true 11,000 mile car, worth it. The problem is, with that low of mileage, every mile you put on it drops it's value significantly. So in essence, this becomes an awfully big piece of furniture.
Yeah, I'm not sure what's with that rear light, maybe a new TUV rule about land-yachts requiring fog lights on all corners or something. At any rate, the car hasn't been road-legal since 1999, and would require some work to get fully roadworthy. I'm not sure what a red plate signifies, but I'd think it's very limited in terms of speeds. The 74 model is my personal favorite of the Malaise Era cars. I'd be very happy with something like this. It's a pretty car otherwise, looks reasonably equipped, but the colour is kind of "meh" for the model, and it's priced a bit high. I guess the current owner doesn't mind it standing around and holding down a large section of flooring.
These 75 & 76's if in the right color and option load can and will bring the asking price,. I have known of a few that has sold in that range and when I say sold. I mean they sold not went off the market. A better detail job would go far in presenting the car to its fullest potential. The car is nicely optioned but not fully optioned. With the right detail and a better presentation, this one could bring top dollar. It will more than likely end up across the big pond
And truth be known, they were great cars with decent road manners. I wish they'd still be building them this way, with modern electronics and engine management systems as well as the advances they've made since then in handling these cars would be indestructible.
