Yes it was, Shawn. I would kill to have this car but would have to build a new barn with living quarters if I did....
car has orig rear, (7,5) with superior axles, auburn posi, Richmond gears, T/A girdle. not sure what bpg board is, but few yrs back car was for sale, I've made quite a lot of improvements since purchase, a/c install steering update/upgrade wheels and tires (17x7 & 17x8) suspension improvements/ upgrades injector upgrade, 60 lb inj new "turbo tweek" adj chip upgraded "hi PSI" waste gate new interior, in original style material
I always liked this body style, and wanted a V8 in one, but when this car became available, it was a no brainer!, when I bought it , it was a nice car, just needed "stuff " to make it a great car! this car is clean, and draws a lot of attention at car shows, funny part is, it did come with a 3.8 V6, just not this V6, older generation will remember these cars, but their eyes open wide when they look under the hood, commonly 3-4 or more "seniors" will be standing around talking and asking questions about it, the youngsters wanna know what size turbo, and how much boost, LOL my reason for selling...…… I'm pushing 70yrs old, and with 4 hot rods, just don't find the time (and energy) to enjoy them, and use them, AND...………….……….. on my bucket list is a GSX clone, or similar, will forever keep my 57 chevy ( 35+ yrs owning it) and my 87 Turbo Buick. this car is a driver, not a trailer queen, has some imperfections ( as most do) but. has the "rocket ship" ability , which makes it a blast to drive!,
well...… wife was laid off yesterday, ( 9 mo before retirement) so, ………. if anyone is interested, please shoot me an offer, not desperate (yet) but would like to see someone enjoy this car, Thanks (sucks, as were in our mid to late 60's)
based upon my experience with 10+ turbo buicks I've owned, 9sec to 14 sec cars. I estimate close to 500 hp, it all depends on the boost, and alky levels you turn up. currently running 22lbs boost, and low alky input, scanmaster show 0 knock! if your brave, turn it up! reasonably can handle 28 lbs boost. and that would be WELL over 500 hp!
I have changed my price to "Offer" that does not mean I'm desperate, it means I'm open to reasonable offers. going to take it out today for a cruise, get some gas, and get everything warmed up and oiled up. will head out Rt 66 , (as I live less than a mile from it,) and relive the memorable days,
