For sale for a friend , an original 1986 Mustang GT hatchback. I’ve known this car since it was purchased by my friend 10 yrs ago and assisted him with the modification’s he preformed . The car is a decently optioned GT with T- tops, pw, pl, a/c , 5 speed with extensive drivetrain mods . A 347 Trickflow stroker motor w/ aluminum heads, turbo-intercooled was installed running 8 PSI boost. A world class T-5 transmission with 3.73 rear puts the dyno’d 500 RWHP to the ground. The car was repainted the original color ice blue which has a few chips in it , but shines up nicely. The front buckets were reupholstered- refoamed the original grey cloth color . The car has been stored indoors since purchased. The car has functional cold a/c and runs on pump gas 93 . The car has never been to the track, but having driven the car recently, is easily an 11 .00 vehicle . The car has to be driven to be appreciated, something my friend due to other commitments , does not have time to . The current drivetrain has less than 200 miles on it .I have some pictures of the car with more to come as requested. The asking price is $16,000 The car is located on Long Island , NY
My brother has the same thing in a 89 but uses a Procharger, just got the 347 rebuilt and he is still tuning the AEM computer. The car ran a 10.78 last time out it had 600rwhp then. It now has a better cam and a little more compression. He already beat a older Hellcat with the new motor and a newer Vette. spinning only to 6 grand for now.
The car gets up and goes ; The Mickey’s on the back have their hands full . I’ve driven this car and the turbo at 8 lbs will have your undivided attention
A friend of mine in SC has a Fox Body with a similar set-up but more strip than street. 647 to the rear tires. I have ridden in it and it is scary-fast! I have seen it go mid-sixes in the 1/8 mile. And that was with traction problems.
