Yes, same exact drivetrain, and 1035 were built. I would think given it's original condition, the price is in the ballpark. Original paint is a big plus for me personally, even if it's slightly faded and or lacquer checked.

Basically, it's a wolf in sheep's clothing. Chromed out Regal with pillow seats and a V6 turbo.

I would have to agree, I have been looking at these for many yrs, pictures are not very good so its hard to tell but I think 15k is pretty high for that. Few Gs more you could get a mint 1 with lower miles, just need to be patient they come up from time to time

And the whole 1035 thing is fine and dandy but does nothing for real value same reason 86 GN's bring less than an identical 87 that was and is 3x more plentiful by the numbers same car just a different grill,....

Wow, I guess I'm wrong. Price might be a little high, but around here $8500 buys you a daily driver with 150k miles and rust. Yes, paint was crappy from the factory, and yes the powermasters have their share of issues, but original is still king on these cars. What do I know, though. I've only been turning wrenches on them for 20 years.

Tell you what, go ask this same question over on www.turbobuick.com and see if you get the same answer.
You know what they say about opinions....

I'm also in Central Florida and have an '87 WE4 which is the all black Turbo T identical to the GN except for different wheels and single gray interior instead of the black and gray two tone. My car has a repaint from 1991 which is still beautiful and 189,000 original miles. It has power adders like turbo, intercooler, heads, etc. I've been offered $15,000 for my car from two different people for over a year now and keep turning them down. So, i don't think $15K for a gray Limited is far out of line. If it needs paint badly, maybe $12K would be my opinion.

And I thought there was a recent "Bench" posting regarding taking things personal.

Nothing personal here:bglasses: I would just like to see a list of all the unmolested 87 turbo Regals that are rust free original cars in the $8500 range. I've got a good friend that's been looking for over a year for one. You guys from the south and west have it made.

NorCal.Buicknut, if you are truly in the market for a limited, IMO, it looks like a good car. However like stated above, the market is much smaller on these than a comparable GN if you ever plan on selling. You have to find the guy that loves limiteds. Most people don't even know what they're looking at when they see mine, which is just the way I want it.

If you want some other opinions, go to the turbo lounge on the site I posted above and ask the same question. You'll get more opinions from guys that live and breathe turbo buicks. It's a great site like this one. People always willing to help, and a wealth of knowledge.

One other question . All other T Types when I search have bucket seats and console and this one has a bench possible clone ?

The bench seat with a fold down arm rest was the base interior for these cars in 86 - 87. You could have that, buckets or the leather option like used in the limited. Because of the popularity of the GN, the majority of the cars came with buckets as it presented a sportier look to the car.

The leather seats though, are the most comfortable on any of the three.

I had an '87 Limited T which was my first of several turbo Buicks. I never should have sold that car. It was rare Chestnut Brown with brown leather 60/40 seats with console, dual power reclining/sleeper seats both sides, Astro Roof, cornering lights, power locks, windows, seats, and tilt wheel. And, of course, air, cruise, etc. At the time I sold it, the price was equal to what the GNs were selling for.

On the other end of the spectrum, I had a friend who bought a completely stripped white '87 Turbo T that had bench seats, crank windows, and no radio. It even had a chrome mirror on the driver's side only. It was the most stripped Turbo Regal I've ever seen. It also sold for a price approaching what a loaded GN would sell for at the time. Don't sell rare cars short. The right buyer will pay dearly to get one.

Just a little Turbo Regal trivia for those interested. Good luck with the sale. :beers2:

The Buick regal Limited was a separate line of the Regals.

In 1987 the LC2 engine could be ordered on any Regal trim level.

I once owned a Limited T with same interior, had all the chrome and stainless trim on the bottom of the doors.

Look at the decal inside the trunk you should see LC2 which is the turbo engine G80 is limited slip differential if equipped.

Ray, your chestnut car must have been a one of one. Super rare color and loaded. Buick would normally not let you get a power seat with the astroroof option because of headroom issues. The salesman must have checked every box when it was ordered. I bought my first GN, which I still own, in 98. As much as I love that car, I really have a passion for the non black Turbo Ts and Limiteds, especially with chrome trim.

Yes, it was very rare and that's why I got talked into selling it for an outrageous price back in 1995. As for the Astro Roof not being available with power seats, I've always been of the impression that only applied to power bucket seats. It was available with power bench or power 60/40 seats in the Limited though.
