So we’ll have the track from 9-4 on Friday? Is there any local racing Friday night that we can jump in?
Mark They run a box/no box race every friday, so any Buicks will be welcome to race in their program. They also run a test and tune only lanes. Of course you would have to pay the tracks entry fee for racing.
That works for me Denny, I run “no box” here at my local track. Looking forward to this event and trying to tell everyone I know whether they have a car or not to come out and support!
OK Buick guys and gals, we are getting closer to the first annual Buick Bash. Just wanted to update a couple of things for everyone. 1. You will be able to camp at the track from Wednesday thru Sunday if you like. 2. There will be close to 200 spots with electric, there will be a small fee (maybe in the $25 range) to have this turned on for the event but there will be plenty of room if you require it. You will need to let one of the track officials know where you are parked so they can turn it on. 3. There will be fuel and food available all weekend also 4. We have the track from 9-5 on Friday, so we will run a test and tune of course and a gamblers race and maybe some other racing for fun (stay tuned for more info on that.) 5. If the weather doesn't cooperate for us on Saturday we will be able to run the event on Sunday. Just wanted to let everyone know this so you could plan ahead if needed. 6. Pets are permitted at the track, track rules are that they are to be on a leash thought. 7. Quaker runs a regular Friday night program of a Box/No Box classes, along with test and tune and all Buicks are welcomed to run Friday night, you will just have to pay the entry fee for their event. I am sure there is more information that will be posted as we get closer to the event. We look forward to seeing everyone out here and having a fun and relaxing weekend of racing time spent with great friends. Any questions, feel free to ask.
will there be Buick parking for the guys that want to bring their cars up and hang out and watch, but not race?
Dave. There is a grass area behind the stands where you will be able to park if not racing or any grassy area around the pits, this will put you easy access to the stands and also the pits and concession stand

Sounds good Denny...just to be clear Q16 and V8 are Buick power OR Buick body, right? Like Cecil but unlike GSNats.... Deciding what car to bring.....
Buick bodied or Buick powered. We are keeping it open to all sorts of buicks. This event is not club affiliated and does it really matter anyway what engine is in it. There are alot of nice ls powered buicks out there.
Steve, not this year. With this being the first year of the event we are having only Q16, V8, and a V6 class. Maybe if we can get a great turnout and good response those are classes that might be able to be added to the next years event.
Dan Track is IHRA, so whatever the rules are for IHRA is what will be enforced. I dont have my rulebook in front of me but will check and let you know.
Dan That was for the heads up classes that are running with us. I checked the IHRA book and it doesnt say anything about having to have one for your ET. I know i dont have one on the 68 yet and i have been racing there for years.
