I'm looking into drop spindles and taller ball joints... I kind got it figured out. Drop lowers the front end and taller joints improves the steering....

    Then I find these....https://www.speedwaymotors.com/G-Co...dles-for-GM-A-F-X-Body-Muscle-Cars,80737.html.

Are these a kill two birds with one stone? Or would it be better to have the two stones.....

These things raise the UBJ 2+ inches.... I thought TBJ are 1/2'' or about....

    Bob,
Yes, the taller spindles alter the camber geometry. Taller ball joints do the same thing. Back in the day, I used F body spindles along with a kit with special ball joints, and tie rod ends to mate that F body spindle to the existing A body control arms. The only problem was that a lot of shims were required to properly align the front end. The upper ball joint angle was a bit excessive, but it all dramatically altered the handling, the front stuck down like glue. These days, they make special upper control arms to solve the problems inherent with that kit I used. Post #9 describes the kit I used. I needed F body calipers as well.

Looks like the spindles you linked are taller, but drop the ride height as well. I would guess they can use the stock A body stuff otherwise, but you might want to call and ask.

After doing a bunch of reading and thinking I came to the conclusion TBJ only...
Main reason to drop the speedway spindle not much info on it on the forums...
The 2'' drop spinals. I reading got to think about that..... I'll wait till the car is painted and assembled then I might let 2'' of air out of the front tires see what it looks like.

Tall upper ball joints alone will help improve your camber gain. You can get caster moved to the positive with enough shims on most cars without tubular upper control arms but it might be a thick shim pack. The closer you can get your car to slightly negative camber and positive caster, the better it will handle, assuming you aren't manual steering.

I would have given a testicle for this kind of parts availability back in the late 70s. I was using 60 series radials all the way around on my GS back when everyone else was running VW tires up front and N-50 out back. Everybody knew if you want to get to the bootlegger and back to town the quickest, I was your ride. I had to resort to turning my front tires around on the rims due to scrubbing off the outer edge. Luckily, I had a tire changing machine at my disposal.
