This transmission was never run and belonged to a friend of mine that passed away. I know he spent around 1600 on the rebuild but his wife cant find the receipt. 800b.o. Delivered to BPG

Is it a lockup or nonlockup?
    Does it have a converter?
Does the plate on the side of the trans says brf?

It is a non lock brf unit converter is spoken for. It was going behind a 450 hp turbo 6

what is the difference between the lock up and non lock up? Might be interested. It would go in my 70 skylark

Non lock ups are less likely to brake and have better options and pricing on converters. It will act the same as your turbo 350 and 400. The lock up is more efficient as it locks up dropping your rpm a little more. I don't recommend lock ups in high hp applications unless you have billet parts.

Ah, just read the non lock up part......I'm out, looking for something to put behind a 350 cruiser.
