Long shot, but would anyone be interested in a trade? I may even be interested in trading for a roller depending. Located in Ohio.
G8 GT means it is a V8. The V6 would be called just a G8. To the OP I assume you are only interested in an A body (Skylark)?
Other than the fading paint on the fender it doesn't look too bad. More pictures would be helpful. Larry.
I loved my G8! There are things I miss about it for sure. I'm not sure if I'd trade my '72 for it but I'd consider it. How "Ohio'd" is the car? (rust and such)
Sorry guys, I've been working on getting my password reset and wasn't able to log on. The car is still available.
Nice. When GM pulled the plug on Pontiac in 09, there were a pile of G8 front ends left down here at the Adelaide factory, no longer able to be exported on a car. So Holden produced a limited run of Holden Commodores (the origin of the G8 and its two variants) for the home market with V8 and the G8 front end, badging them as top-spec Commodore SS-V ''special edition''. These came in sedan, pick-up ("ute") and wagon variants. Collectable now.....some owners even restored the Pontiac badge up front. https://www.drive.com.au/news/holden-commodore-ss-v-series-special-edition/
It's a shame they came out around the time of the bankruptcy. Otherwise they still might be sold in the US. They really are great but very underappreciated cars in the US. Darn you kiwidave for taunting us with the ute and wagon versions that were not available in the US.
To: It1b4c, I sent you a list of 9 different cars and P/U's I'm going to start selling off this year and If anything is of any interest to you, give me a call at 785-626-7736 and we can talk? I'm out of state in Florida right now till the end of the month. But call anyways if you have Questions, Thanks, Larry.
The orange one looks like mine, love the car, hate the way the front seats fit me. Interesting facts about the Holden, thanks
