200r4 trans donor???

hi im sold on the 200r4 swap idea now i want to go to the bone yard to get allthe parts my question is what cars have this trans in them i know the gn but dont think ill find that so what others made /year model thanks a lot pete

 

SS Monte carlos and 442's late 80's type G body. are also great choices.

 

The one your looking for is the BRF trans out of a Grand National. Try the turbobuick board. There is usually one for sale there, either a core or one all ready to go. I got mine there.

I believe mine came from a mid-80's Caddy. It was rebuilt before installing in the Buick tho.

Mine came from a 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass. It was built up before installation.

Otherwise check under 80's G-bodys and 4.3L S-10/15 pick-up and Blazers. Also I think some mid 80's F-bodys may have had 'em.

 

me to my problem is my car is running trans is fine a s/p 300 ok its summer do i really want to rip it apart now ?? pete
