    Lots and lots of money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously though. You may want to go to ckperformance.com and ptsxtreme.com.. Both sell 200-4R's that can withstand that kind of power. You'll be looking at around $3500 by the time you get the trans, converter, TV cable stuff, driveshaft yolk redone, lockup switch setup if you go that route. I just did mine with all billet shafts, racing oversized clutches, etc. and that's what it cost me.

well, i was looking at doing the work myself, if need machine work, have it machined and ill finish assembly and setup, if that's possible, as far as the drive-shaft i was told it will fit right in-place where my th350, and i already have the b&m mega shifter, I was looking at under 1000 minus the converter, me doing all the work, and at 600hp it will give me room to grow, i should be safe there

this is a chevy trans with the multiple holes, puting it behind a chevy 350, with 500hp

oh another ?, the 200-4r i just picked up has a pink tag on the passengers side (tail shaft)

is this a brf code, that only came in the gn's????

It will say BRF right on the tag if it's a GN trans. As far as the trans and doing it yourself, the parts for the 200-4R aren't cheap. Many of the billet parts are $$$$. I know the one shaft itself is like $350. You should be OK with the driveshaft. I did have them put the heavy yolk on that takes the 1350 series u-joiint. It's a big mother, but I know it'll never break. Check with Art Carr or PTSXtreme. That seems to be where most shops get their parts to build these things. I'm not sure you can do it for under $1k, but maybe $1500. And the converter will set you back $500-$700 for a good one, depending on what you get. Good luck.

what power and torque will a T200R4 take as stock? I have a project car I would like to use either a Buick 350 or Olds 350 (what ever turns up first LOL) to power it with a 4 speed / overdrive trans behind it. I don't have space for a 700R4 but I reckon a 200R4 will go in OK without tunnel modifications. I am shooting for maybe 350-400 BHP range for a street application. I presume as it has the dual pattern it will fit either of these motors regardless of what the donor vehicle was?

The project car is a 1970 Vauxhall (a British GM car). I did one with a 350 chevy and TH350 and it needed the tunnel widening to accept it and I think the 200R4 is narrower as the TH200 will fit the stock tunnel in this car OK.

It deserves Buick power LOL, but Oldsmobiles are more common as we had the Seville with it in over here.

Sorry for the thread hijack but its 200R4 related!
