Hi, new to the forum and thanks for having me, even though I'm not quite 100% Buick. I'm in the process of replacing the 3.5l Rover block in my TR8 with a rebuilt Buick 215 (isky 262 cam, Edelbrock manifold & 500 carb, headers) and the stock Rover heads. Here's my problem, if it is a problem - the head gaskets that come with the rebuild kit are a composite fiber/metal type, which are slightly thicker than the all metal gaskets that were stock. Is this going to affect my compression ratio to any degree I should be concerned about or should I go out and get the all metal ones? Thanks for any help.
the tin gasket has volume of 2.73cc the felpros are 6.82cc yes it will lower your compression almost half point
