Is anyone running 255/60R15's on the front of a 70-72 GS with stock 15" rims. I realise this is pushing it, 245/60R15's will fit.

    Any rub points or issues?

I'm running 245/60R15's on my car with factory 15x7 rims. Car is even lowered 1" in the front. The only place I have any trouble is on the 1-1/4" swaybar on the passenger side, and it JUST touches it on a full lock left-hand turn. I'm sure if the car wasn't lowered it wouldn't even touch there.

I've heard of people running 255's on the front, also. But I have no experience with that.

Mine is very tight on the back side with 245's and I get some rubs. Car is lowered about 1.5" I think I want to raise it about an inch.

I run 325/50R15's on my back. I have 15x10's with 5-5/8" backspacing. I have no rubbing problem on the inside. I did have to trim about 1/4" of the top of the fenderwell lip to avoid any rubbing on the outside.

I ran 275/60R15's on the back for over a year and had over 1" clearance inside and outside with 15x8's and 4.5" backspacing.

You should be sure and check the backspacing. You may have rims with only 3.33" backspacing. This is a common one that many manufacturers make, but does not do well on Buicks. We need more backspacing because we need bigger tires to handle all that power.

I had 235/75s off a pickup on the front of my 70 'Lark. No problem if the fender brace near the bumper is there.
