    NJBuickRacer I'd rather be racing...

All the accessory brackets are different, the distributor is in the wrong location(front vs. rear) and the trans won't bolt up since Buick, Olds and Pontiac use a different bolt pattern on the trans than Chevy. Unless your trans is one of the scarce dual bolt pattern case units. I'm sure there's more, but these reasons should be enough to start with..

i don't think chevy ever made a 231 v6. to my knowledge buick is the only 231 v6 used in a lot of different GM brands as a corporate workhouse. if the distributor is in the front, it's a buick.

not sure if chevy had a 231 or not but i have lots of experience with buick 231 and the buick 252 , i raced a 252 for a time in bracket races . still have some very good kenne bell parts for one that needs a new home

Are you sure it's not the 229 K motor?

    not a buick motor..

your all right it's not a buick motor thats for sure found out that it was a V6 chevy motor hooked up to a 350 tranny, so I really didn't want to mess with it so i'm trading him a water cooler that my parents had laying around for some re-worked chevy 350 heads I already have a block and crank might get the ball running on another project truck...

76 ford F150 -free truck given to me that runs
70 GMC truck traded circle track pinto body and cage for.
    87 buick regal 231 V6 paid $100 bucks for.
81 buick regal 231 V6 parts car complete car I paid $50 for..
and still trying to add a couple of vw's to the mix..lol :beer
