    I currently have 235 60 15 on 15x7 up front and 255 60 15 on rear 15x7.

    Front=
Since I like Goodyear eagle gt II and that they dont make 245 60 anymore (am I right about this???) I have to deal with 235.The thing is, would they look good on a 8" rim??I would like to put them on 8s", but im not sure, do they look better on a 7"or 8" rim???Can I put 235 60 on a 8" rims???

    Rear=
I want to run 295 50 15. (goodyear eagle gt II) Are those better on a 8" or 10" rim??? They fit better on wich one? They look better on wich one??And will I be able to burn the 295???(burnout....455...)

Always go with the wider rim. It supports the tire better and the tire will distort less. The tires will look fine. Yes, 8" for the 235's and definitely 10" for the 295's. No street tire will stand up to the torque of a healthy BBB, I don't care how wide they are.

why would you run a 235 on a 8 in..u woulddt need an 8in until u go over 255..? woulndt you be able to air down to a lower psi and hold a bead better with the 7 inch?

i could see a 10 inch on 295 50s but how would that tire do on an 8 inch?

A wider rim effectively stiffens the sidewall, and there is less deflection of the tire in a corner. The best rim is at least as wide as the tread. The P235/60-15 has a 7.6" tread width, so an 8" rim is ideal. If you look at this chart for BF Goodrich Radial TA's, the rim width range for the 235's is 6-9"

I know about the facts.......Im not running any race car or doing any crazy stuff with the car, I just want to get to right look, the one that I like!wich is low (but not too much) and large.295 50 on 10 in the back is now clear in my mind, thats whats going to happen this summer!Im still confuse in front, I like large, and 255 60 in front is too high and large. The best would be 245 60 on 8s, but they are a little high and im a soldout for GoodYear, and they dont make 245 60 anymore....???weird!!....I think the make the 245 in the WingFoot HP serie. But I wont put a GT II295 in the back and a Wingfoot245 in front, it wont match....so im stuck with the GT II 235 60.Right now in front on the 7s it looks good, I might stick with the 7s.

There is a guy on the forum that runs 275/50's on the front. I have some pics of his car. Forgot his name. Shoot me your email and I can send them.

I will be ready to order my wheels soon, Installing 235/60/15 on fronts and 295/50/15 on rear. I will use the 15x10 rally rims on the rear with 5 5/8 backspace and the 15x8 up front. The thing is with the 15x8 in the front and 235 60 15 on them, what backspace do i need??? 4 1/2, or 4?????

My dad runs 245/60's on 8 inch front rims and 295/50's on 10 inch rims. They look great and fit nice on the rims. The 235/60 isn't a huge difference, I think it's only a fraction of an inch on eather sidewall, so I'd say you'd get the look you want with the 235's

    NJBuickRacer I'd rather be racing...

Do you have enough gear for that tall of a tire? Might be a little doggier out of the hole with anything less than 3.42s.

A 15 X8 will have 4 1/2" B.S. and that will work just fine. The 295/50-15 will be 26.6" tall, just about the same height as a G60-15
