your 2bb linkage should work just ensure 100% carb opening.

TV cable setup for your 7004r trans and Q jet:

Info on the geometry required for the trans to shift properly:

PM me for info about how to wire the lockup torque converter, be sure to use 12V at all times to the trans and a toggle switch on the NEGATIVE side of the wiring to the trans. Also for safety reasons a brake switch is required to shut off the torque converter if you hit the brakes (engine stalling, loss of power steering and brakes can result without this). Look for the brake switch on carbed Astrovans, caddy with 307, and some other carbed vehicles with 2004r or 700r4 trans.

Thanks Guys. was already running the 700R4 with the 2 bbl setup, prior owner already installed adapter plate etc, appears to be a braided TV cable that was used on the stock 2 bbl, thank you so much for the link on the 4bbl set up plate information. looks like I will be needing this. Question? do I check the QJet number on my carb to match up to the kit they offer, such as 1901, 1910 etc... I'll go with the current throttle linkage for now, but never heard of the convertor lock out switch? any help would be appreciated on that..

you can make your own arm to correct the geometery on the carb. and the bracket is 30 some bucks. cable is the same on all. alot cheaper than 200.

Looking to convert my 2bbl to 4bbl as well .... I'd like to know what years of intake I could use on my 68 engine ? Are they all the same 350 Buick intake ?

I get everything but this part. Why do we need 12v to the trans and only ground to engage? My brake switch kills 12v to the trans to unlockup when I brake.

I was mistaken when I posted that. I’m not sure why but I was mixed up. I checked my car and it’s got the switches on the positive wire. I also use a TCI lockup kit that has a vacuum switch in line.

OK, I was hoping it wasn't something that would kill my trans. LOL
