2x4 carbs

    i am looking for a set of matching carbs-carter AFBs. I REALLY DONT CARE WHAT YEAR AS I AM CURRENTLY INSTALLING A 425 IN MY 1963 RIVERIA THAT CAME OUT OF A 1966 RIVERIA.ANYBODY GOT ANYTHING???? THANKS RG

    Well, if you don't care if it's 100% original Buick, Offenhauser still sells a 2x4 aluminum intake for the nailhead. That and a set of brand new carbs probably won't cost you much more than an original Buick set if you had to rebuild both old carbs, and would probably run better besides. I think Holley even sells matched sets of carbs specifically for multi-carb applications.

    You could even get a matching set of Offy valve covers to complete the look. :)

    RG, I have a matching set of Carter AFB's 625cfm that I had on my 70GS455, it ran great!!!
    The carbs are mechanical secondaries with electric chokes. They need to be rebuilt but are in great shape.
    $200 for the pair!

    Yes both carbs have electric chokes.

    I believe those are AVS Carter carbs, from a Mopar. Not from an original dual quad NailHead.

    I know that these are not original. I bought them new back in 1980-81 and had them on my 455 Offenhauser dual four intake.
