High guys i was looking for those big bore manifolds for the land rovers that someone was talking to in a past post.when i found a guy that sells used land rover parts. I asked him if he had any exhaust manifolds and he did. HE had to types ones from a landrover and another set from a range rover this still uses the aluminum V-8. The range roves were a tubular shorty style
header. These mimic the original 300 manifold almost perfect. My question is will set of 215 or rover manifolds bolt up to the 300 heads. Is the exhaust port spacing the same on the engines. I have a picture of these and would like to post them here but i don,t know how to. Thesemanifolds seem to be a factory part so they should be available

    thanks Adam

    Hey Adam,
This is a pic of a set of Rover cast iron exhaust manifolds. There are MANY different types. Some better or worse than others. The latest types are stainless and look kinda like the Mustang shorty headers. The issue is that the exhaust opening is slightly smaller than the Buick 300's when fitted up to the Buick head. Yes, they will fit, but you'd have to grind out the ports to make them work right. I don't know how much better or worse they'd be however.

    Hey Adam,
This is what a Buick 300 manifold looks like next to a Rover V8 one. You can see the ports are larger on the Buick. Don't know if you can grind open the Rover's to match.

PS. To attach a pic, hit the "Reply" button when you want to respond. Look at the bottom of the Reply area and you'll see a "Attach File" option. Select the "Browse" button to find the pic on your computer. If the pic is too large, the system will reject it. If that's the case, you'll have to shrink it and try again. Easy!
