Hey guys i just wanted to let you know i bought a set of exhaust manifolds off a 1995 range rover these are the tublar ones that closly resemble mustang shorties last week. You guys are right the ports are a tad smaller but i used a die grinder to open them up some. I started putting them on yesterday starting with the passenger side one. It fits just like the stock manifold does it was the best fit i have had with a header. I plan on doing the driver side tommorow but it will be the same fit as the other side. I know that poston is starting to remake there headers but i would be hard prest to believe they fit any were near as nice as these. I have heard the poston ones will not work i you have a four-speed or have a columb shift. With these anything you can do with the manifolds you can do with these. Plus another bounus is that they are made of stainless steel which means no coatings or worries about rust. I paid $235.00 for mine delivered to my door which is cheaper than the poston headers to begin with then you hve to add the charge of getting them coated in and out if you guys want when i get the film developed i can post some pics of them. I can't even begin to tell you how well these fit and it is as simple as unbolting the cast iron manifolds and bolting these on. Just figured i pass the info along

    thanks Adam

    re 300 headers

Well today i got up early to finish my header project but it started out bad two bolts rounded and had to have the heads ground off to get the manifold off. Then after all that i couldn't get them in with out taking out the steering columb then to finish it off the only thing that is in the way is the brake portioning block on the frame once this is out of the way the should slide right in. I still think this is an easier set up to put in than the postons although i have ever seen a set. I will post the pics when its done

    Hey Adam,
I found a pic of the exhaust manifolds you've got. Tubular stainless steel. Ought to last forever. Hows the fitting out going?

Those are pretty cool! What model Range Rover donated them? Did you by used or new? They'd look pretty neat in my '65!

    Thanks,
    John

    Adam,

    How goes the header install?
What engine are you putting them on...aluminum head or cast iron?
What model RR did they come off of and if possible, what are the part numbers?
Who was the vendor that you bought them from?

    Thanks,
    JMC

    Hey John,
Those are bone stock 1995 and later Range Rover, Defender 90 and Discovery exhaust manifolds for the 4.0L and 4.6L V8. Don't even THINK about buying a set of these new! The price would give you a heart attack! If you hit up www.car-part.com, you can find sets averaging $200 a pair. Make sure they're the stainless type though.
