i know i have come across this somewhere in here before but can't remember details . can just the distributor gears be switched to let the 455 dist. be used in the 350 ? any exceptions ? i've got one of each and would like to be able to switch stuff around if needed , the 455 dist. is good and all set with adj vac and accel weight kit etc . and does that go for aftermarket units also ? whats the difference in the gears ? thanks for any info . del

yes the gears can be switched. The 455 uses a 13 tooth gear, the 350 has a 14 tooth gear. The housings are the same, and interchangeable. The advance curve differed some what between small and big block on a stock unit, but if you've recurved the distributor, that is not an issue.
